Staff/Volunteers are encouraged to use the 1:1 meetings for wellbeing feedback
Staff wellbeing support and talk therapy services in the UK:
NHS Every Mind Matters
What it offers: Free mental health support, personalized wellbeing plans, self-help tools, and advice on stress, anxiety, low mood, and sleep.
NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT Services)
What it offers: Free access to evidence-based therapies like CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), counselling for depression, and guided self-help. Staff can self-refer directly — no GP referral needed in most areas.
Mind – Mental Health Charity
What it offers: Free mental health resources, helplines, self-care tips, and support networks. Many local Mind branches also offer free or low-cost therapy services.
Able Futures (for workplace mental health support)
What it offers: Free nine-month support program for employed people, including confidential advice, coping strategies, and mental health coaching funded by the government (Access to Work Mental Health Support Service).
Samaritans – Emotional Support
What it offers: 24/7 free emotional support for anyone in distress. Staff can call 116 123 at any time or use online resources for coping techniques and mental wellbeing advice.
Staff meetings
Staff/Volunteers are expected to meet with their supervisors or managers at least once every six weeks. Meetings may occur more frequently if agreed upon, based on work activities, events, and project needs.
Please ensure you download and use the meeting template to guide and record your discussions.
Key meetings will be documented using automated note-taking tools to ensure accurate records are kept.
